The oil and gas industry offers exceptional rewards but also risks if a well proven and developed strategy is not employed. Drilling wells, even in the Illinois Basin where depths rarely exceed 3,000 feet, can be challenging. But we believe our
Investment Strategy as previously outlined truly minimizes investor risk and allows for the potential of significant returns.
The average return for our investors on our first three transactions has
exceeded 25% demonstrating that our strategy is sound. Each
oil and gas investor contemplating this type of investment needs to understand that every well drilled is different from any other and that the risk for loss can be high especially when looking at individual well results. We believe that the combination of different well locations, and developing new wells in areas of past and/or current production greatly reduces these risks but doesn't completely reduce the risk factor to zero.
2011 has been a record year for Midwest with our total well count increasing by 59% and our gross production increasing by 155%. Current crude oil prices ($100.20 as of 12/1/2011) being seasonally very strong, and a world economy that is expected to improve, bodes very well for the oil industry for 2012 and beyond. We do expect to do a record number of new transactions in 2012 with both of our oil partners and would encourage anyone interested in investing in this industry to contact us as all of our transactions are offered on a "first come" basis.
